The family photo of soldiers and nurses is honoured by the large plate and cross that were rescued from my church. The wrapping paper on the plate suggests our beach with its incredible tide pools, while the stillness of the heron and the flight of the bird (lemon squeezer) share in the timeless beauty of this place.
