Irelyn Hume has lived in White Rock for most of her life, and if you ask her, there is no better place to grow up. From sunny beach walks to hanging out with friends by the pier, White Rock is so much more to her than just where she lives — it holds her memories and, most importantly, an incredible community.

Over the years, Irelyn has become known for her energy, positivity, and the way she brings people together. She’s been dedicated to cheerleading for seven years and also participates in Highland dancing. Whether she's having fun with friends, supporting her cheer team, or giving back through volunteering at community events, she always brings her full heart and energy.

Irelyn has proudly taken part in many community events like Run for the Cure, the Teddy Bear Parade, and the White Rock Beach Clean-up. She is currently raising money for Relay for Life at her school, an event dedicated to supporting cancer research.

Through her school's selective liberal arts program — with only about 26 students in her grade chosen — Irelyn has developed strong communication skills, gained valuable work experience, and built confidence through participating in mock interviews.
