Mayor Megan Knight
Mayor Megan Knight was elected as Mayor of the City of White Rock in 2022. She previously served on White Rock City Council as a Councillor from 2014-2018.
A longtime resident, Mayor Knight has called the White Rock area home for over 46 years. She graduated from Semiahmoo Secondary, completed her education at the University of British Columbia, and was commissioned as a British Columbia Notary Public and established her practice in 1998, serving the community with integrity and dedication for 25 years.
With over four decades in the community, Mayor Knight brings a deep commitment to public service and small business leadership. She has served on several local and provincial boards, including the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors, TransLink Mayor’s Council, Sources Foundation, Society of Notaries Public of BC, Notary Foundation, Fraser Valley Regional Library, and Tour de White Rock. In 2022, she was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medallion for her contributions to community service.
As Mayor, she is committed to advancing Council’s long-term vision for White Rock as a safe, inclusive, and connected city where businesses thrive, nature is protected, and public spaces are vibrant and welcoming.
Bo Long
Bo Long a highly respected, active member of her community including being a Rotarian and a member of Peach Arch Hospital Auxiliary. She has also been a Chinese interpreter at Barkerville National Historical Site, where she shared her cultural heritage with visitors.
As an member of the Chinese community in the Greater Vancouver area, Bo Long is valued member of the judges panel for White Rock Youth Ambassadors. She wants to engage with new Canadians and work together to make a difference.
Adam Smith
Adam Smith is the President of Uptown Business Machines Inc.
He brings a wealth of business experience from previous roles at Rotary Club of White Rock, Cloverdale Chamber Of Commerce, Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce and South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce.
MP Ernie Klassen
Ernie Klassen was elected to represent South Surrey-White Rock in the 2025 general election and was shortly thereafter named Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Fisheries.
Born and raised near Abbotsford, Ernie studied photography and eventually opened a series of small businesses, including a photography studio and a floral shop. He also served on many volunteer board of directors, was the founder and president of the White Rock Pride Society and was elected to the White Rock City Council in 2022, where he served until he was elected Member of Parliament. Ernie currently lives in White Rock with his husband and has three children and two grandchildren.
As your MP, Ernie prides himself on welcoming all his constituents regardless of age, race, skin color, religion, sexual orientation, party affiliation, and intellectual ability. He is a passionate defender of Canada's sovereignty and Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as well as a strong advocate for small businesses, farmers, seniors, the vulnerable, and working families that make up his community.
Donna Beaudry
Donna has been a cornerstone of theWRYA program for over 45 years. She was there when the program evolved from the ‘Miss White Rock Pageant ‘ to it current form, the WRYA program. A decision that modernized the program to be more inclusive and to emphasize community values like volunteering.
Working with young people over the years has been a source of passion and joy for Donna. She especially loves learning about what alumni ambassadors have achieved in their lives after the program.
Donna was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 for her years of volunteer service with the WRYA. Donna is the mother of Kelsey and Bryn and has one year old grandaughter Aubrey.
Operating West Beach Pilates on Marine Drive keeps Donna busy these days.
