Judges
Michele Partridge
is an award-winning business owner, public speaker, acting coach and arts and culture advocate. She has coached hundreds of actors over her 25 years of teaching and has also helped many business professionals with their communication skills. The award-winning acting school, The Drama Class is one of 3 acting schools she has founded and/or co-founded over the years. She has been on several boards including Women in Film and Video Vancouver and currently the White Rock Business Improvement Association. She currently spends her days coaching confidence classes and putting actors on tape at her White Rock based acting studio plus volunteering for projects such as 50 Women of Options and advocating for the arts and culture community. Michele has recently been nominated by the South Surrey/White Rock Chamber of Commerce as Business Leader of the Year - Self-Owned for 2020.
Bo Long
has been active in her community including being a Rotarian and a member of her Peach Arch Hospital Auxiliary. She has also been a Chinese interpreter at Barkerville National Historical Site, where she shared her cultural background with visitors.
As an active member of the Chinese community in the Greater Vancouver area, Bo Long is valued member of the judges panel for White Rock Youth Ambassadors. She wants to engage with new Canadians and work together to make a difference.
Mini Gill
has been a leader among youth for the past 30 years. She is the former Executive Producer of Generation Why?, a youth talk show and feature broadcast in partnership with OPTIONS & Shawtv. She tackled hard issues including bullying, suicide, teen pregnancy and drug addiction on this weekly program while giving young people the opportunity to build work experience in media, tv and film production and on air presentation.
Currently, she is a Counsellor at Elgin Park Secondary and acts as a regular Chaperone for international and domestic band trips while she resides in South Surrey.
Pam Dhasi
is an educator, entrepreneur and holds the title of Mrs. Canada Earth 1st Runner Up 2024. Her passion to educate and inspire women especially those battling breast cancer makes Pam a leader in our community and a valued contributor to our judging team.
Pam is a faculty member at Semiahmoo Secondary and a mother to two busy teens including Raymon an avid baseball player who competed with Whalley at the World Little League Championships in Williamsport.
Donna Beaudry
has been involved with WRYA program for over 45 years.
She was there when the program evolved from the ‘Miss White Rock Pageant ‘ to it current form, the WRYA program. A decision that modernized the program to be more inclusive and to emphasize
Community values like volunteering. Working with young people over the years has been a source of passion and joy for Donna. She especially loves learning about what alumni ambassadors have achieved in their lives after the program.
Donna was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 for her years of volunteer service with the WRYA. Donna is the mother of Kelsey and Bryn and has one year old grandaughter Aubrey.
Operating West Beach Pilates on Marine Drive keeps Donna busy these days.
