1975 - "Beauty on parade was a highlight of the Pacific National Exhibition opening day parade Saturday when these Miss P.N.E. contestants were applauded by an estimated 150,000 people who lined the six mile parade route in the rain. They are Miss White Rock, Holly Reynolds, Miss New Westminster, Karen Hodson and Miss Kelowna, Karen Wienberg. Miss P.N.E. will be selected Tuesday from 39 contestants representing cities and towns throughout B.C. The P.N.E. runs through Labour Day, September 1."

Miss Oran, 16 of 15869 Pacific Ave., will be featured in White Rock's sea festival parade Monday. She just graduated from Semiahmoo High School, where she excelled in biology. Judy received a $100 cheque from the pageant organizers and jewelry, clothing and towels from local merchants."
