White Rock Youth Ambassador Gala
Our 2019-2020 White Rock Youth Ambassador Candidates will be crowned, on Saturday, June 8th, at 7 pm, in the Earl Marriott Secondary School’s Theatre.
Between the public events, the Candidates will also have participated in testing which includes: a written essay, an in-depth interview, and a knowledge test with a panel of judges. Additionally, the Candidates are expected to show up and support and positively and proudly represent the White Rock community, at events both in the Community and in other communities around the Province.
During the Gala evening, in an interview-setting, the Candidates are asked to share information about their business or organization Sponsor.
They will also throughout the evening, participate in an opening dance performance… showcase their composure and deportment while walking solo on stage… answer an impromptu question… interact with local and Provincial dignitaries… all of which are judged aspects that contribute to their overall score, and determine which of the Ambassador Candidates receive titles and bursary awards.
It should be noted that one of the most unique aspects of the White Rock Youth Ambassador Program, is that *AFTER* the Gala, all Ambassadors are expected to continue to participate in Community and Ambassador events, until the following Gala.
